Welcome to the North Shore AIDS Walk Team
I hope you'll join me this year to help raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and save lives.
As a researcher at the National Institutes of Health, I spent much of my career developing biomedical interventions to HIV and other diseases. Now that I'm retired to the beautiful North Shore of Oahu,Hawaii, I hope to continue contributing by working with the Life Foundation to provide the prevention and care services that are so needed here, including free HIV testing and community education.
The Honolulu AIDS Walk is not only a fundraiser, but an opportunity for the community to come together to remember those we have lost to the disease, and celebrate the achievements we have made in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Since the first walk 25 years ago, wonderful supporters like you have helped raise over 2.5 million dollars through the Honolulu AIDS Walk, the largest public awareness event around HIV/AIDS in the state. 100% of the money raised through this walk will stay here locally and make a huge impact on our local community.
